The province of British Columbia has entered PHASE 3 of its Restart Plan and many businesses around the province have begun reopening. We will be reopening and not only following government guidelines, but improving upon them based on our unique business needs to ensure the safety of our guests and team members.
Masks will be a mandatory piece of attire for all guests and staff at SmartyPantz. If you don’t have one, we will have some on site, but supplies are limited so please bring your own if possible.
We at SmartyPantz have always taken disinfection and sanitization concerns very seriously, but we have further strengthened these protocols to match the rising level of concern that we all share, increasing the time between bookings to allow for a thorough disinfecting of the space.
We have only ever offered private escape room experiences. We will continue to do so. The only people in your room will be your group. For your safety and the safety of all of our guests and team members, please refrain from bringing players who have been at risk of being exposed to COVID-19.
We will be operating with new days and hours of operation: 12-6pm on Sundays, 5-9pm on Thursdays, and 3-9pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
We will be limiting the number of players per room to 6 total, while also limiting the number of rooms we offer at any one time. We will also be working to avoid interactions between unrelated groups of players.
Only Pay For Who Plays:
Our payment & refund policies have always put the guest first. We require a deposit in advance, but you will only pay for who plays – we refund paid players who do not attend. We encourage anyone feeling ill to stay home. There’s no pressure to come in and play if you’re not feeling well.
Take Care of Yourself:
If you are feeling ill, please stay home. Common symptoms of COVID-19 are runny nose, sore throat, cough, and fever. Please take extra precautions for yourself if you have any of these symptoms and consider staying home to rest.
Practice Good Hygiene:
Our team will be extra diligent with their hygiene behaviours, but we need everyone on the same page. Please wash your hands upon arrival. If you need to cough or sneeze, please do so into your elbow or a tissue.
Be 15 minutes early:
Good hygiene practices take time. We need time to clean and disinfect our rooms for each group. We understand things happen, but we will not shorten the cleaning and disinfecting time for a late group to get more game time. We are also working to schedule groups such that no two unrelated groups will be exposed to each other. If you are too early or too late, we may have to ask you to wait outside while we work with the groups already inside to limit everyone’s exposure.
We look forward to seeing you all soon 🙂
